25 Random Things About Me:

1) I like noodles. All kinds of noodles. I ate ramen for breakfast pretty much every day all through high school. I taught my grandmother and my daughter to eat ramen for breakfast. Given the choice between noodles and pretty much anything else, I choose noodles.

2) The first thing I ever sewed was a teddy bear for a girl who lived three doors down from me when I was 10.

3) I hate throwing up. I avoid it at all costs, even when I know it would make me feel better.

4) I have only been really drunk twice. Usually I just get sleepy.

5) 99% of the time when I need to wear a tie (rarely), I wear the same paisley tie I've had since high school. In my defense, it goes with everything.

6) On the subject of ties, I made the bow ties and cummerbunds/vests for all of the proms I went to (shiny green satin, vintage paisley, and white, respectively).

7) I can't stand eating things with seeds. Strawberries, blackberries, almost all watermelon.

8) I'm terrible about taking pictures, unless I'm documenting projects.

9) I like listening to music in foreign languages that I don't (or barely) understand.

10) I can't keep my clothes in drawers (at least not for long).

11) Between pie and cake, I will choose pie, but I'm less picky when it comes to cakes (see #7).

12) Where food is concerned, texture is more important to me than flavor.

13) I can wiggle my ears, one at a time or together.

14) I carry a purse, and it is awesome.

15) I don't enjoy roller coasters or horror movies.

16) I have never broken a bone (knock wood).

17) On that subject, I knock wood when appropriate, throw spilled salt over my shoulder, and don't walk under ladders (that last one is just plain unsafe, as well as unlucky).

18) I can pick things up with my toes.

19) The first computer I owned was a Mac IIci. I don't want to think about how much it cost.

20) I bought that computer with the money I had saved from when I was in a McDonald's commercial (two of them, actually, for a total of maybe 5 seconds) when I was 6. My taglines were "I don't like 'em, I love 'em!" and "Superb!". I couldn't stand McDonald's hanmburgers, and still can't.

21) I have major hearing loss in my left ear, and no one has been able to figure out why.

22) I will usually find something I like at a restaurant and order the same thing every time. Similarly, I will eat the same thing for lunch for days or weeks on end without getting tired of it.

23) I skipped kindergarten bcause I wanted to sit at a desk, not a table. Apparently there were other considerations involved, but they weren't important to me.

24) When playing RPGs (computer or otherwise), I always opt for weapons that don't require ammunition (lasers over machine guns, for example). I am also terrible about using potions, scrolls, or anything with charges.

25) I can't grow a decent beard.
